I’m beginning to notice that Aztec seems to be pretty good about clearing out the server…

Slight upgrade to my PC. Replaced the CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and Power Supply. Updated my post at the top.

So, what are you going to do with the old parts? I’ve got a buddy that needs a new desktop for cheap and I’ll gladly pay the shipping if you are willing (it would be a good start on parts for him, but I totally understand if you don’t want to).

How much better is that over the Vertex 3? I’m not really techy enough to know enough to know what I’m really looking at and the internet machine isn’t helimg me very much when it comes to which chipset is better. I guess the best quesation is it it worth the 15 extra dollars?

How about the Agility 4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227807) verses the agility 3 or the vertex 3 (in my previous post)? I noticed the aglity 4 is running Indilinx instead of Sanforce and that in general, this drive is “slower”, but I don’t know anyting about either chipset.

And those people who run right through you while you are shooting so you nail the teammate in the back of the head.

    Would serve those teammates right.

I must be a slow old man now, I can just barely brake the 32 second mark if I’m super lucky and get around 33 seconds the rest of the time I don’t miss that stupid moving T up in the window.

Yo, so I totally should be admin and such cuz I’m better than everyone else, I think it would be cool to slap playerz in da ass, give gunz-n-sh*t to my homies, change the map to only maps I want. Yous all be stupid and ain’t knowing the first thing it takes to be the sh*tz, so I should be runin’ da dumb place and…

Umm… I mean… umm.. oops, did I blow my shot?

    😛

Anyway, I wouldn’t mind being an admin again. In the past, I tended to try my best to keep an eye on everyone and make sure they are all having a good time. I try to keep a watchful eye out for hackers (whether I am admin or not) and if I am suspicions, I feel I can tell (by watching them closer) that they are just lucky vs. hacking. I also know and realize that dealing with problem players takes time away from actually playing and enjoying the game, but it is a fact of being an admin.

If anything, I would like to be Level 2 (but who wouldn’t want more power right?) just so anything that needs to be taken care of can be taken care of quickly, but I wouldn’t be opposed to a level 3 as I know you need to work your way up. I do also understand though if you want to pass on me as I won’t be able to guarantee my time like I was able to in old-timey land.

Not sure if it’s the server or me, but it seems to me the server will get really choppy for about 15 seconds every 20 minutes or so. Its not that often and I will have to play more to see if it is the server or me. I am leaning towards the server because my ping stays put and so does my fps. Does anyone else get this, or am I crazy?

Packers all the way (Family lives in Green bay and has season tickets).

Back up team is Seahawks (because I’m from the northwest).

Teams I always route against, no matter what:
    Cowboys, Raiders, Cheifs

How stable is the server right now? I know we test because we want the best server possible when we launch, but if we are stable, I say we remove the password.

I’m just thinking, since we are early enough along in the game (release wise), that we might become a top server if we have it as open as possible. Start bringing in people now so they will stay, invite there friends, and those friends invite friends. I preferred the days when you had to wait in line to play, not the days where you had to beg people to come.

I’ve played a bit more now and the FPS is kind of weird. On Inferno, my computer got between 130 and 150 FPS, but even if I was standing still, every 15 seconds or so, my FPS would dip to around 60 for about a second, then go back up to the normal. I didn’t seem to matter what part of the map I was in, how many people were around me, or how many people were actively moving around, it just did it every so often.

I personally prefer nVidia over ATI and currently have a GTX460. It has been several years since I’ve owned an ATI card, so things may have changed, but I had a choice at one point and I was disappointed. Either get nVidia or ATI. At the time, my mom had a 6600 in her computer, and it ran my games just fine. Being the broke kid I was at the time, I went for the ATI “equivalent” of that card for my own machine. The difference was night and day. The ATI card fell short.

It really all comes down to what you are willing to spend. Fundimentally, there is nothing wrong with ATI, it does its job and is cheaper than nVidia. Although, if you are willing to be patient and keep an eye on sales, you can pick up a good nVidia for the same price as the ATI “equivalent”.
