MemberThat sounds like a badass deal. $80 for 128GB SSD. I’m interested to know how quickly you run out of space. (It’s the partition information that makes it 119.2GB instead of 128GB, I believe) That’s the killer for me right now, I don’t to get a smaller drive and the large ones are a bit on the pricey side still.
These SSDs almost make me feel like we’ll go back to cartridges for gaming when it gets cheap enough. Wouldn’t that be an interesting throwback?

I think everyone should take a screenshot after they knife Grim and post it here. Build a catalog of Grim’s shame.

MemberI played Guild Wars for a few months when it first came out. Was pretty fun.
Would you guys recommend this one for the price point it’s currently at?

MemberThat looks pretty badass.
I was/am a huge fan of Total Annihilation. Used to play that game all day long. Supreme Commander 2 is basically a more modern version of Total Annihilation (in case anyone wasn’t aware of it).
Planet smashing sounds pretty awesome.

MemberI currently use a Logitech G35 headset. Spent ~$90 on it (on sale). I wouldn’t recommend it. The “Stereo/Dolby 7.1” switch snapped off and the mic hinge is loose after 4 months of use. Drivers are a little finicky. Have to reset the USB connection in certain instances, such as powering up from standby. However, beside those minor issues, the headset performs well. I strongly recommend surround sound headsets to anyone who plays CounterStrike simply because directional sound is a pretty good advantage to have.. If you are willing to shell out $30-50 more than I did (which I wish I did), you could probably get a very nice and durable surround sound headset.
You said you don’t want your ears crushed, so I would recommend a circumaural headset. The pressure is applied to your head over a greater surface area instead of pinching your ears to your head. Even with the ‘behind the ear’ style, I can only wear non-circumaural headphones for about 2 hours before it starts to be a pain. However, with my G35, I can wear the headset pretty much as long as I want with minimal discomfort. Additionally, This will help keep sound you want in, and sound you don’t want out.
The G35 is a “virtual surround sound” headset. There are multi-speaker surround sound headsets out there, but I don’t know how much of a difference it makes.

MemberIt’s like trying to determine what is your favorite music, just impossible. So here are some that just stick out for me:
– Forest Gump
– No Country For Old Men
– Star Wars Trilogy (of course)
– Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (is my fav, but I like all of the movies)
– Robocop
– Psycho II
– Wizard of Oz
– Total Recall (original, haven’t seen the new one yet)
– Saving Private Ryan
– Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (all good except last half of Crystal Skull)
– Powder
– Big Fish
– The Matrix
– Back to the Future Trilogy
– Die Hard with a Vengeance
– Drunken Master
– Enter the DragonMaybe post more as I think of them.

MemberI am also interested in getting a SSD.
Do you see any real practical performance boost whilst gaming? Or is it pretty much just making file transfers and OS processes faster?

MemberI vote against soft collisions, myself. Seems kind of silly having players run through each other. Especially during a knife fight. And those people who run right through you while you are shooting so you nail the teammate in the back of the head.
