For those of you unfamiliar with Xfire, it is essentially an in-game instant messaging tool, much like the steam community friends list. There are reasons for using this over the steam messaging though. First, you can talk on AIM, MSN, Facebook, & GChat from in games. Other features it supports includes taking screenshots and video clips (and automatically posting them online), voice chat, in game web browser, in-game music player, live video broadcasts viewable on twitch.tv, automatically downloads patches for games, keeps track of favorite servers, one click joining of a friend’s game etc.
